Helping Poker

What does "helping poker" mean? There seem to be many differences of opinion on
the subject. Mine comes from a professional players view. HI LEVEL POKER is
CORRUPT to the HIGHEST DEGREE. To the "top of management", to the "top players"
it is corrupt. I didn't like it when I found out, and I don't like it now.
However, my "bark" is backed by a lot of "bite" thirty years later.

Poker has been corrupt at the highest levels since I entered the business. When
I was a "kid", I grew up wanting to be another "James Garner" in "Maverick".
Maybe I will help someone out in their future plans. Don't have the same dream
I had about poker. It doesn't matter how good you get, it's how good your
connections go.

Obviously this is a "not good for poker" from the casinos side. They have
failed to clean up the problem in 30 years. Many lives have been destroyed by
the lure of an honest game. How long will this false advertising go on. How
many people are needed to succumb to this trap called "hi level poker".

I ask you people, is it good for Hi Level Poker to be "totally corrupt"? How
long are you going to stand for this. The "lobbying" is overwhelming. It is
also a lie.

Before we can even begin to help poker, we must know what it means. Does it
mean that people are lured into "traps" by the glamour and glitz that the
casino's and their media produce? What does it mean?

You can surely see that the casino's are not accountable to anyone. When you
people start making the casino's accountable for their actions, progress can be
made. Until then, a difference of opinion will reside between GCA and others on
what "helping poker" means.
