Looking for thoughts on this hand.
6-handed table $5/10 Limit Hold'em online. Usual loose aggressive game.
All players are typical.
I raise UTG with AK, get 3-bet by the button. Heads-up I call.
Flop is K J T. I check-call.
Turn is 7. I check-call.
River is 5. I check-call.
What is going on here? In your opinon, did I play good/bad?

I would raise. You are on a 6 handed table which makes the odds your up
against a hand that has you beat big time preflop is low.
> Flop is K J T. I check-call.
Rainbow? 2 suited? I bet and probably check raise or bet then raise any
re raise.

Any flushes out there? I do the same as above.

Might as well you have NO IDEA where you are in the hand and obviously you
must be color blind because we have no idea if there is a flush or a flush
draw out there.

Shit if I know. Bad IMO.

I understand it ! Ive done it !! there is no hand which you can beat here
if you play a big pot. But if you check .. call you. can win 3 bets after
the flop.
Pretty routine play considering you have legitamate concerns about being
beat, and it is difficult to fold , HU.
I would prolly check raise the turn , and pray not to get reraised.

It was a rainbow board so flush draws can be ignored.

i am sure if there had been 'flush' concerns, he would have included them.
And you worry about 'flush' boards , HU ..ON THE FLOP?
WHY? You never bet into a board with 3 to a suit on it, with one pair ?
Most of what should be discussed in this hand has to do with what you
think your opponent would or would not do with hands that have you beat.
this play allows him to never ever out play you.
You feel like an idiot when he shows you 777, but that happens once in
like 20 times.
man it is responses like this that really make you understand how little
people know about playing !!

Now this is a man who knows how to think about poker. I take it you have
played some mid-to-high limit poker.
I will let the others stew for a while and maybe they can explain their
lines of play with some higher-level thinking. In other words I hope
someone will go beyond "I know what I have" and get into "What does my
opponent have" and "What does my opponent think I have" etc...
I was hoping for some hand-range analysis too. I think 3-betting an UTG
player, even at a 6-handed table takes some kind of hand. At $5/10 you
don't often see people doing it with AJ, 77 and the like. Or if you do,
you will have quickly identified the maniac and adjust accordingly. This
table was VIP 40% and AvPot $50, so typical.
BTW, If this was NL and faced an all-in bet on the flop what would you do?

I hate to say it, but I agree with doggystyle here. Now, you should
definitely *sometimes* be check-raising, primarily the turn, IMO), but I
don't have any problem with this like either.

You're misplaying a hand is what's going on.

His range is pretty broad. And you're mostly ahead of it. I'd take
the lead on the flop and not let up unless given good reason to. The
flop is heavy on draws. I have no idea why you'd want to let the
draws draw cheap unless it was to save the raise for fourth, and you
don't even raise there.
You also don't mention the suits. Hard to analyze it without even
knowing if the board is suited. For all we know there's a flush on
the board by the river. >> Stay informed about: Good Limit hand for a Hand-Range analysis |

It wasn't a bad play if you were comatose after the flop and
merely managed to knock the chips in as you hit your head on
the table. If you regained consciousness at any point in the
hand then you misplayed it.

Funny post !! i disagree a bit about absolutely misplaying it ! I have
been in these spots and there isnt any opponents hand he wants to get 5
bets in with here. if his opponent wants to lose 3 bets with QQ .. let
him . This hand doesnt occur often , and a lot of times it is a split, but
wanting WAR , out of position with this hand doesnt seem the right thing
to do here.

Others have covered it pretty well.
You have top pair top kicker and a gutshot broadway redraw,
against an opponent who could have any number of things.
Maybe he has a medium pair, KQ, AJ, QQ, etc... if so, you
don't want to let him draw cheaply. He could also have AQ,
KK, AA, KJ, etc., of course. Show some aggression and put
some bets in on your own. How stupid will you feel if he
turns over 77 or 55?
If he plays back after the flop then I'd probably fall back
to check-call mode, but I want to give him the chance to fold
or pay for his draws.

WHAT THE FUCK IS TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT WITH "DRAWS"?
You got 3 bet, HU, you have one pair, and assuming your opponent isnt out
of his mind, the hand deserves some concern , but starting to be concerned
with 'draws" is just plain silly. If he has 'trickshot ' you with some
sort of weird combination or suited connectors.. so be it , but this hand
isnt one you need to be concerned about 'draws" when he is supposed to
have 2 cards over a q in his hand, if not QQ

You have no idea about 6 handed games, doggy. I would pay for the
entertainment value of seeing you play in a 6 handed LHE 8/16 game on Full
Tilt.
