This hand is eating at me, I think I played it correctly.
I had been playing this table for a little over an hour, The Challenger had
only played a few hands and he played tight, I saw him limp with 99 a few
times and then back off when the flop didn't help or over cards were
present. He rarely raised, in fact I never recall seeing him raise pre-flop.
When he raised preflop and I reriased with KK I figured he had a top pair or
AK. I did this to find out where I might be sitting with my hand and to get
him heads up. He reraised me pot, quickly I might add. So I called to see
flop but the sirens were going off.
As you can see the flop brought no apparent help to me. If he has reraised
me preflop the only hand I could see was AA, maybe QQ but I doubt it. If he
did have QQ or JJ I was already beaten, if he had AA I was surely beaten,
the only other hand I could see was KK and we might have tied. I didn't want
to risk my entire stack on that chance, so when he led with a Full pot bet
on flop I thought about it for a while and decided to let it go. I can't
see him making that play with AK or TT, he must have had AA or QQ or even
KK.
I am just looking for some feedback to see if I called it right or if I may
have played this wrong. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would have raised him If I had a good reason to believe he was holding two
clubs or AK, otherwise I would have folded. Its most likely that you were
nearly drawing dead in my opinion. I would have folded too.

If you're going to lay it down on the flop with no help even with no
overcards, lay it down preflop. I would have called, but I never claimed
to be a great PL/NL player. I really don't think anyone can ever know for
sure in this situation. You have to make a read and go with it, but in
your case, that read should have had you folding preflop.

I put him on AcKc, maybe AKo, so you should have raised. If he's got the AA
to your KK, so be it. Watch out for that case club or T though.
Disclaimer: I play lower PL than you do, so it's easier for me to say
"raise".
