I have been playing online poker for a year and
lose $75 dollars a month on average. Seems
like nobody ever admits to losing around here.
Is that just my imagination? I know many
poker players are ego-maniacs like Sklansky.
I play 5-10 hold'em all the way down to
50-$1.00, and some Omaha and Stud.
Coming from an 80% win rate in "LIVE" action,
human contact play, for years, I'm starting to
get frustrated. My opponents online starting
requirements are a joke. I see 8-3 offsuit and
j-8 offsuit all the time. When the flop comes
bad, say, 8-4-2 rainbow, my AK suited is
probably going up against two pair. I play
tight-aggressive, to no avail. Seems to me
that i must be real good at reading tells, which
I always thought I was decent at
accomplishing. Does anyone else out there
have online problems winning, and yet do
great in live action games??? My last year in
Alaska I was a $67.00 an hour winner for the
whole year, at a $100.00 limit game. I do well
in the online tourney's though, with being in
the money 4 times the last month with a 1st,
3rd and two 5th's...Why? Just feels frustrating
spinning my wheels and kissing my sister
month after month online. Still looking for a
real human game in my new
hometown...Thanks for any advice you can
share. Sincerely...
