Just noticed a freeroll for the staff at a poker site.

Anyone have a problem with that?

Well I will answer my own question.
Staff should not be playing at a site where they work.
Let's put it this way, I will never play at that site again,
well only freerolls and for player points anyway.

what difference does it make?
dealers at casinos are allowed to play against patrons in their poker rooms, and
they usually suck. doggystyle being a good example of that.

Obviously it is dangerous to play against 'insiders' you only have to look
at the 'POTRIPPER' incident to understand that if it is not already obvious.

For a start they will have tthe oppertunity to assess you entire hand
histories.

That's before we get into less legal forms of cheating.

I had serious doubt's about that site anyway, aand learning they allowed
staff
to play is the 'last straw'. I will be cashing out for good now.

Aand take the eeexample of the chap who lost $1,000,000 in a torunement
win,
bit strange they they only found that out after he had won, probably didn't
notice
it when he was losing.

I conclude you either are nuts or work in the poker industry.

Stars has been doing this for years. It's actually a lot of fun to watch.
The best one was when Terrence Chen was leaving. They all played using
an avatar of his face. Lee Jones and Dan Goldman were hilarious.

You are paranoid beyond belief if you think there's something wrong with
them having a freeroll.

I haven't played on Absolute recently, and have decided not to play
there for awhile. Thanks for your post. btw, my decision has
nothing to do with them having a private staff tourney.
