It's your prerogative to tip or not, not tipping just makes you a bad
person, that's all. Nobody expects you to tip when you take down the
blinds, or even when you take down a $12 pot with a flop bet. If you
don't fire a buck to the dealer when you win a $230 pot, you're a
scumbag plain and simple.

So's tipping dealers.

If they raised the wages, they'd raise the rake.
Is that better or worse?

So when the house raises their wages and ups the rake, what do you do?

The rake is already too high. The very reason I don’t play at the casino is
because they not only take 10%, but a buck for the jackpot and about 4% for
the “month end tournament,” (I don’t play). A 15% rake is too much. On line
is 5%.

Most semi full time players dont understand they toke away a new car every year.
Many toke off way more than they make during the year.
If you are playing for a living paying attention to what you toke off is very
important.  If dealers dont understand how it works then they are fools.
The full time players keep the games alive allowing the dealers to work and make
tokes.  If is a win win give give plan.  No dealer should be upset at a full
time players that tokes very little.

Ok, let's do the math....

you play at least 30 hands an hour
you win 1/10
thats 3 bucks an hour
40 hours a week
120 a week ! thats if you only play ten handed games that are slow and you
only play 40 hours a week

6 grand a year to a dealer ?
thats 60k a year for each dealer that has 1 buck a pot from each player.

Naturally dealers will whine because you want more tips.

I will tip less now.

Thanks for prompting me to do the math.

If you want to make some cash, deal with someone you know, ME !!!
