Omaha vs Holdem: Which Requires More Skill? - A long-time Holdem Player (NLHE) I recently got into Omaha Hi(PLO) by accident and loved it. What I have noticed is that in NLHE you have to be very careful to fold lukewarm hands pre-flop to avoid getting into trap But in PLO, it seems that..

Luck or Skill! - Mn man wins lotto 2 days in a row. Pick 5 numbers odds according to lotto officials 170,000 to 1 of getting all 5. My poor math comes up with about 28 billion 900 million to 1 odds of doing this 2 days in a row.

We got into a debate at work the other day about which game is more
skillful? I said it wasn't even close, Gin definitely takes more
skill. They disagreed.

I am looking for some input from the people on this forum because I'm
sure there are a lot of gamblers on here that have played both.

Thanks.

Gin, no question. There's fairly substantial turnover in who wins
dominoes championships (one repeat champion in the last 10 years IIRC),
but gin played without a handicap simply died the day Ungar beat Stein.

It's opponent dependent, which is why it's pretty much pointless to discuss a
"skill factor" without giving a very precise operational defintion of what that
means.
