My wife says that if I can get $50k in my PartyPoker account by Aug 1 I
can take off work for the year and just play cards. I'm a little short.
I have around $1300. Anyone want to be a generous benefactor? I would be
willing to pimp myself to Partypoker if they would sponsor me. Any
sugestions for how to make a quick $48k are accepted.

Easy answer:

Win the Sunday NL holdem $200 buy-in tourney at Pokerstars Then just place
in the top 4 the following week.

That should put you way over the top.
Poker stars have lots of tourneys that pay over 10k all the time start
playing them and win a few!

hell just this past Sunday a guy played his first tourney at pokerstars
took second place for over 20K

Go for it boy just go for it!

Do you like your wife? If not you might consider killing her to collect the
life insurance (you have kept up the premiums haven't you?). Then just quit

May I ask what is your own personal attitude toward this? Do you have your
own plans about taking off your work and just playing cards? Why August
2003 selected for you as deadline but not Jul 29, 2003 or August 2004? Do
you yourself like this deadline?
