Thanks a lot pal. When folks who have played the plastic bankers game and
found they don't understand the rules ("Don't spend money you don't have!")
Then go to the public for handouts because mommy and daddy didnt teach them
to stand on thier own fuckin feet. Folks like me who have paid into the
cosmic karma fund are seeing less and less returns on our investments.
This rubs a sore spot with me. Sorry to the group if my pissin and moaning
brings you down.
In my younger adulthood I worked a good job for a wage that I didnt really
need. So I shared my wealth. Working on Jimmy Carter's home building
projects and Toy runs for crippled and underprivelaged kids. Tossed plenty
of cash at single parents and recreation centers too.
Then I went from between 65k and 95k a year to under 7k. I woke up from a
coma which lasted a month and a half to maxxed out credit cards, emptied
savings accounts and a woman who was under the impression her meal ticket
was going to die. So she was liquidating all of my worldly belongings. A
nice carvin stack I bought new back in 79. A real sweet collectors guitar
dated back to 1937 and just like (maybe even the same? ) the Gibson ES-50
like Charlie Christian used. A few other choice pieces of equipment and a
box full of silver, tourqouise and gold. Some other stuff that had great
sentimental value was garaged saled and pawned, traded and swapped. Or just
thrown out like trash.
Had my misfortune, and the cause thereof, been named Katrina instead of
kumtunnel Kim Tracey things probably would be much differnt. "Brighter"
even.
Instead a used up, broke down ex two-whellin string slinger dare not beg for
yesterdays obsolete products from companies (not private folks like you just
did) who could use the recognition more then thier junk because of scammers
like this.
Thank you very much for your contribution to society.
Now fuck off.

Yup, I followed it live (did not send her any money). Chick was all
over the morning interview shows and wrote a book.

To her credit, she made a real effort to show how she was trying to get
her financial situation under control by ceasing her frivolous spending
habits, selling crap on ebay, and looking for ways to save money.

She could have been lying, but appeared put a lot of work into the
site, counting down her debt and showing where all the money came from.

Check this story out. Talk about people with who actions are dictated by
their hearts instead of their brains.

Thankfully his greed tripped him up. It's a shame about the nun's purse
though.

This next line is just so the message will be on topic: I hate Dee Adama!!
She is a gold bricking b&*^h!!

Now own with the discussion:

I live in Louisiana and I will tell you this (because it is not reported
by the news) most of us are totally sick of most of the New Orleans's
residents that have not returned home yet. We still are hearing SOB
stories constantly. Most of the those that are self sufficient have gone to
other jobs and restarted their lives. Most of those that are still
complaining are people who had nothing but hand outs before the Katrina.
They were living off of the rest of us before the hurricane and rented the
place they lived in. These people did little more than 'hang out' with the
rest of the 'hood' all day drink beer and smoke (both legal and illegal).
When they were flushed out of the 'chocolate city' they invaded towns to the
north and begin immediately causing trouble and raising the crime rate.
Some well intentioned groups loaded them into buses and brought them to a
hospital in Shreveport, La.. When they unloaded off of the bus many
(younger blacks of course, this is not a slur, but fact.) did not bother to
go into the hospital for medical care food, a bed, but made a bee line for
the nearest parking lot and started breaking into cars.

There were many honest people that had problems, and still are having
problems. The elderly that died because local officials did not follow the
emergency plans, the children that died because their (single) mothers were
expecting a welfare check in the mail the next day, and who's father were no
were around. I feel for those that could not leave on their own. The
thought of the elderly (my own parents are senior citizens) suffering and
dying in those nursing homes is something that should give us nightmares.
These were the true victims, the old and very young.

Just remember that when you see on the news some fat cow with three or
four children complaining about still not having a place to live of their
own, you will not hear a reporter ask "What kind of house did you have
before?".

Also please keep in mind when thinking about the State of Louisiana that
it is really two states. North Louisiana & New Orleans. Many North
Louisiana residents would gladly vote to become part of Texas or become our
own state of "NORTH LOUISIANA" if it ever came to a vote. Yes that sounds
good....Just cut it east to west at Alexandria. The only thing that N
Louisiana has in common with S Louisiana is a common state government.
