OK....I purchased Wilson's Tournament Texas Hold 'em, and I'm a little
disappointed.  There is no advice, odds are only shown during all-in situations,
and the statistics are not detailed.  So, what should I have gotten?  Poker
Academy, DDPoker, AceSpade Software?  Anyone have experience or non-sales
persons opinions?

I have read and heard good things about both Poker Academy Pro and
Wilson's TTH. Some of the fprums that are out there have sections of
thier forums dedicated to the use of each of these software tools. A
little googling will call these up and yuou might find some good
reading on one or more of them.

I am surprised to hear you are not pleased with TTH. Maybe someone
will respond and show you what you are missing. I have heard that the
real benefit is being able to program these training tools to 'force'
the hands you have the most probelms with (your leaks) into apparing in
the practice games you are playing more than is statistically possible
in order for you to learn how to avoid them in real games.

All I know is that you can get Pokjer Academy Standard and Pro for free
by signing up fro a site through PSO, choosing 'points' and using th
epoints to buy the dsoftware at PSOP's online store.

Good Luck!

I'd get a free odds calculator from www.online-poker-tools.com and play
the practice tables at party or some other room.

Once you get comfortable with the odds, off you go!

Good luck.
