First deposit bonus
The first deposit bonus at PokerStars is actually a first, second and third deposit bonus. Within 90 days, you are allowed to make up to three qualifying deposits and get a 100% bonus on the total amount. You can get a maximum of $600 in bonus money.

The welcome bonus is released in increments of $10. To release $10 into your account, you need to earn 170 player points. You have 6 months to release the welcome bonus, which is much longer than what's offered by most other poker rooms.

PokerStars has an incredibly rich selection of tournaments online, they are also the main sponsor/arranger of a long row of renowned tournaments outside the internet. There are naturally ample opportunities to qualify to PokerStars sponsored offline tournaments at the PokerStars site. Examples of such tournaments are PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), European Poker Tour (EPT), North American Poker Tour (NAPT), Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), and Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). PokerStars also hosts two of the world's main online tournament series: World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Another example of a famous tournament found at the PokerStars site is the weekly Sunday Million, a $1.5 million GTD with a $215 buy-in.

Network & Software
PokerStars is not a part of any poker network since they are too large to need to pool their players with anyone else. The software has been developed especially for PokerStars, and a downloadable client is available not just for Windows but for Mac OS as well.

You can play up to 24 poker tables at the time at PokerStars.

Transactions
Examples of accepted transaction methods that can be used for both deposits and withdrawals at PokerStars are VISA, Neteller, Moneybookers, Entropay, WebMoney, Click and Buy, Money Order, and bank transfer.

Customer service
Unlike most other large poker sites, PokerStars have no phone support and can not be contacted via live chat. The only way to reach the support staff is by sending an email directly to support@pokerstars.com. When you are logged into the site, you can use the email form to do this. Customer service is available 24/7.

A special exception are the deposits. If you try to make a deposit into your account and it doesn't work, a pop-up window will appear prompting you to fill in your phone number and a time when it is convenient for you to be contacted. You will then be contacted by phone and guided through the depositing process step by step. Questions regarding deposits can also be sent to dad@pokerstars.com.
