ESPN is set to show the WSOP $50,000 HORSE event from Oct 16-30. I'm
thinking I should start playing more HORSE events on Stars as the fish may
start schooling in that corral. Thoughts?

Cashing in these things is not hard. Most of the players are really bad
at Razz, stud, and to a lesser degree stud-8. I suggest laying low during
O8. Players are pretty bad there too, but there isn't as big an edge.

Play a few of them and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Nice seeing you around BTW.

The problem is that by the time you get to the E, the stacks are so
small that the skill edge is negated. Of course that is great for
those of us that can't play the S and E.

Actually, PokerStars sometimes have HORSE tournaments with unique blind/ante
structure where it repeats the blinds on the next level as opposed to increasing
every level. So, the better player may still have a slight edge.

Neat. Does this apply to the micro-stakes sngs?

At one point Stars upped the starting chip stacks to 1800 for micro-
HORSE, but then they moved it odwn again. I haven't played there in a
while.

Yeah, they don't have any for the $1 + $0.10, but they do have it for the $3.30
plus it starts you at 2000 chips however they are 10 minute levels as opposed to
the 12 minute ones.

I just played it one last night for $1.10 and it started everyone at 1800 chips,
so I think that's what it'll stay at. Don't ask me how I did in it though. I
played like crap and was out before the first break.

There is a lot of clueless play, especially in the Razz, but the blinds and
antes escalate so fast, it quickly descends into a crapshoot, and playing
ultra short-stacked tournament Limit games is hugely frustrating, even worse
than ultra short-stacked NL.
